WHAT WILL MAKE YOUR XMAS MAMMOTH THIS YEAR?

WILLS & KATE FOR XMAS DINNER OF COURSE!

To celebrate the seasonal DVD release of Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas, exclusively available in Asda stores from 21 November, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Asda asked the nation’s shoppers to reveal their perfect Christmas…

Royal newlyweds Prince William and Kate Middleton came out top of the list of celebrity guests Asda shoppers would most want to invite round for Christmas dinner, after 1 in 4 voted in their droves to paper crown the couple top of the poll, while new parents Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon polled at just 1%.

When it comes to the important job of cooking the turkey, a third of shoppers said they would put their trust in family man Jamie Oliver, while 1 in 5 would prefer domestic goddess Nigella Lawson to rustle something up for Christmas day. In a shock turnaround from previous years, Gordon Ramsey slipped from favour, trailing last with only 10% of the votes.

Half of women said a shopping trip with Gok Wan would be their ideal gift with 1 in 5 stating that this would be top of their wish list. Asda shoppers also confirmed that Christmas is all about spending time with loved ones when 44% said that seeing the family is their favourite Christmas activity. Decorating the tree also scored high with women after 17% chose this their top activity. Unsurprisingly, cooking the Christmas dinner trailed in last place… perhaps inviting Gordon Ramsay isn’t a bad idea after all!
