Welcome to the wonderful world of Nouky & Friends! Nouky the bear, Paco the donkey and Lola the cow come to life for the first time ever on DVD courtesy of Noukie’s.

The three friends began life as soft, cuddly toys, loved by thousands of children all over Europe, and have recently crossed the Channel to the UK, where the toys are now becoming fixtures in stores and children’s hearts. Now, they’re starring in this delightful programme created for pre-school children.

This sumptuously animated series bears all the hallmark qualities of the Noukie’s brand, with quality and a genuine sense of wonder coming to the fore. As well as being thoroughly enjoyable, the series has been inspired by comments and opinions of parents, with full input from child psychologists, and carries strong, positive messages for toddlers.

The DVD is an edutainment series created for children from two to five years old, each episode focuses on developing the imagination of its young viewers and teaching them about life’s little mysteries through the adventures of the three friends in the comfort of Nouky’s brightly coloured house. It will be available on DVD on 19 February 2007 and comes with a colouring book.

The Belgium based Noukie’s brand was the brainchild of Katia and Simon-Pierre Gilliot-De Paepe after the birth of their first son Amaury. They set up a company called Amtoys selling cuddly toys brought in from other suppliers, but the return was not great and after four years it was make or break so they decided to launch their own line of cuddly toys. The focus was placed on soft, short-napped, easy-to-wash materials and on embroideries, perfect for guaranteeing a child’s safety. Success was immediate and well beyond expectations. The Noukie’s brand was launched. Theme by theme, model by model, the Noukie’s family grew and its reputation spread across national borders. Noukie’s now have a hugely successful brand of children’s toys, clothes and baby accessories.
