TWO ENCHANTING SHOWS AT KEW GARDENS THIS SUMMER FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES 22 July – 28 August 2017
This summer, two enchanting outdoor shows, The Wind in the Willows and The Dream Fairies – Adventure through Bubble Land, will be performed in the magical setting of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew from 22 July to 28 August.
Based on the story of The Wind in the Willows, this production brings to life Kenneth Grahame's classic story of life on the riverbank with Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter and, of course, Mr. Toad.
This critically acclaimed outdoor theatre production delivers music, songs and laughs. There is fun for young and old as the Head Chief Rabbit transforms audiences into rabbits with a waggle of the ears and a wiggle of the nose.
The Wind in the Willows asks you to pack a picnic, pack the kids and join in the fun! Suitable for adults and children of all ages.
In The Dream Fairies, the adventurous Honeysuckle meets the fairies from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Honeysuckle has lost her wings and the Dream Fairies - cheeky Mustardseed, fluttery Moth, daring Cobweb and sweet Peaseblossom - have flown off course and are trying to find their way back to Fairy Land. Together with the help of all the little elves and fairies they go on an adventure through Bubble Land to find Honeysuckle’s wings and the special map to guide them home.
Suitable for children aged 3 – 6, this production is an interactive adventure full of sing-along, clap-along songs plus bubbles, acrobatics and a sprinkle of magic dust that will enthrall the young ones throughout the school holidays. Small audience members are invited to come dressed as a fairy or an elf.
