Yo Ho Ho, Alton Towers Resort is offering the chance for families to join them on a voyage of discovery that will have young ones ‘uh-aarrrgghh’ with amusement and whirling with wonder.
From Saturday, February 11th to Sunday February 26th, the Staffordshire-based Resort will transform into a fully-themed Pirates and Princess getaway. The event will include the opportunity to join the crew and discover the underwater world of Sharkbait Reef by SEALIFE, den building experience for all the family, sword making workshop and fun-filled treasure hunt for budding buccaneers!
Throughout the event, a series of Jolly Roger inspired live entertainment will also be on offer for guests including action-packed Pirate and Princess Show, disco, fancy dress, magic and music.
There’s even more high seas water action available thanks to the thrills and spills of the Waterpark, where lads and lassies will be able to anchor down in the Lagoona Bay, drift along on the Lazy River and climb aboard the Master Blaster. New for 2017 will also see the launch Octonauts Swimming Certificates for young children with trained STA qualified instructors.
Many of the Resort’s CBeebies characters will also join the fun and be on hand to meet and greet families during their stay.
For guests wishing to upgrade their voyage of discovery the fun doesn’t end there – with the unveiling of 22 new Arctic Explorer rooms. Families can be the first to experience one of the new rooms in the Alton Towers Hotel. Join Sir Algenon on his latest expedition through the Arctic as you step into the Mountain Expedition Adventure and stay in the Arctic snow crawler. You will enjoy views out across the snow covered mountain peaks and impossibly deep ice canyons, as you watch fantastical flying vessels and balloons pass through the dangerous mountain paths, in search of the extraordinary Yeti.
