Institute of Imagination and Kidesign will be running creative workshops throughout the evening, inviting children of all ages to unleash their creativity. London Fire Brigade museum curators will be on site giving talks on behalf of the new London Fire Brigade Pop Up Museum.

The 2000sqm space, once the fire engine workshops of the London Fire Brigade, is opening its doors once again to provide a temporary community and events space, dedicated to inspiring creativity and knowledge exchange. The space will be home to an eclectic mix of creative tenants including; the Institute of Imagination, Kidesign, Vivid Drinks, Mark Lloyd Bennett Design and multi-disciplinary artists Christopher Baxter and Luke Francis Haseler, all of whom will be hosting regular interactive events for the community to discover and enjoy. An additional community space - ‘The Paint Shop’ will also be available for smaller scale community events such as craft meetings, book clubs and yoga classes, amongst others.

The Workshop is also excited to announce that the London Fire Brigade will be marking its 150th anniversary by returning to the original location of its former head quarters on Albert Embankment, with a pop up museum.  It will showcase the history of fire-fighting through the story of London Fire Brigade in Lambeth. The museum will be FREE to visit, welcoming school trips and groups of all ages. For school bookings and details on the opening date, please email: museum@london-fire.gov.uk.
