Sparkle Bead Station by Gel-a-Peel Review
This week we took a look at the brand new Sparkle Bead Station made by Gel-a-Peel.
The Sparkle Bead Station is priced around £24.99 and it is designed to let children design and create their own beads and beaded jewellery with the gel-a-peel's sparkle bead station.
We liked that the station came with a tool to make rings and pencil grips too! The Gel-a-Peel Sparkle Bead Station comes with three sparkle gel colour tubes to make over 100 beads, although we made very big beads, so it did not make this many.
Gel-a-Peel is recommended for children aged 8+ and we certainly agree with the Lowri and Evie are just 8 years old and still needed quite a bit on supervision. We found that the beads took a few hours to dry, don’t be in a rush to remove them from the spindles. Make sure you do this on a table and cover anything you don’t want to get gelled!
We suggest 9+ for this craft as the kids really liked it but couldn’t push the gel out of the tubes them selves. I talked to the girls about the product and we all agreed that a 10 year old would love this, particularly if they were very in to their craft. The box is bright and if my children received this as a present I think they would be very happy.
We loved the colours of the gels and sparkly bits. In particular they were keen on the green…well they are 8 now you know!
On the whole we were impressed with this product, a slightly older child would have a lot of fun!
