Mustering for War at Arundel Castle
11th - 12th July 2020

Travel back to the 12th century and witness a gathering of knights, men at arms and archers training in preparation for the Third Crusade! Weapons, armour and battle tactics demonstrations will show the gruelling lengths the Normans went to in order to survive warfare and conquest. An archery tournament will test the competitors on the most important skill of the era, while visitors can try it for themselves with have-a-go archery and mini catapults. A variety of crafts and activities, including a professional storyteller, will run alongside the demonstrations.
