Originally created by Geoff Hamilton for the Gardeners' World TV show, Barnsdale is home to 39 pocket-sized, themed garden 'rooms' that are full of great ideas for garden-lovers of all ages, and teeming with birds, butterflies and friendly beetles for little bug-hunters to find.
Come and have fun exploring- there are ponds for tadpole and newt-spotting, seasonal trails, and an allotment with real chickens and giant veg.
You can play hide-and-seek in the mini woodland or get a close-up view of the tree-top bird feeders on a special web-cam hidden in the mysterious hermit's hut.
Enjoy a slap-up lunch or afternoon tea indoors or out on the lawn- our food is fresh, seasonal and locally produced, and there are nursery favourites and free activity sheets to keep the kids happy. Or join in the fun on one of our weekend activity days- this year we've got wildlife watching, country crafts, an Alice in Wonderland croquet match, Easter fun and spooky Halloween trails... there's much, much more, and most is included in the price of your garden visit.
