Bristol Aquarium

Overview

Bristol’s Harbourside comes to life with a dazzling display of marine and aquatic creatures at Bristol Aquarium. Explore the creatures of UK coastlines as well as a myriad of tropical fish, including sharks, rays, seahorses, pufferfish, piranhas, a giant Pacific octopus, and so many more.

Wander through the Underwater Tunnel and marvel at the fascinating marine life swimming over you. And head over to The Urban Jungle – a giant botanical house filled with thousands of different plant species and two open-topped displays; the Bay of Rays is home to thornback rays, mullet and lobsters, whilst the Amazing Amazon display, houses to terrapins, pacu and a whole host of other fresh water species.

Dive into the depths of the ocean in the Sunken Ship display, where you’ll meet native creatures, including smoothhound sharks, jellyfish, lump suckers, seahorses and more.

The aquarium hosts daily talks and feeds that are spread across the morning and afternoon, so there’s always something exciting and interesting to learn. We welcome school trips and club visits too, with tailor-made workshops about conservation, marine life, and the environment, all of which are geared towards different ages.
