Burcott Mill is one of the very few remaining working water powered flour mills in the UK. Burcott Mill nestles between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills. It is just over a mile from Wells (England's smallest city) and Wookey Hole Caves. In July, August and September we run Mill Tours, where the miller takes visitors round this historic mill, demonstrating how the mill makes the flour using age old methods and machinery. Tour time: 3pm Admission is £3.50 Adults, £2.50 Seniors, £1.50 Children. Visitors can feel the grain and the flour, and make flour by hand! After each tour, Cream Teas and homemade cakes made from the flour are served and Children can 'stay and play' in our outdoor childrens play area. Booking advisable as numbers are limited on each tour.
