Glyndebourne Opera House
Nestled in the heart of the Sussex downs, Glyndebourne is recognised globally as one of the world's greatest opera houses. It is home to the annual Glyndebourne Festival, Glyndebourne Tour and a widely respected education programme. The opera house stands next to the country home of John Christie, who founded it in 1934. Now run by his grandson Gus, it is still very much a family concern. Such eccentricities are part of Glyndebourne's charm.
