A Hidden Yorkshire gem! - 9th May, 2017
We visited Topical Butterfly House a few weeks ago on a sunny bank holiday.
This is definitely a hidden gem. Having lived quite near Sheffield in the past I was so surprised that we had never visited before. The attraction is amazing! A family ticket is around £9 ahead so great value.
We literally spent the whole day here. The kids loved it as did my husband and myself. We also took the grandparent – who agreed it was fantastic value.
The staff are knowledgeable and so helpful. The staff that did talks and handling sessions through out the day really knew their stuff. They answered questions and nothing was too much trouble.
The café is great value and has plenty to offer. Warm drinks were a few pounds and a jacket potato was around £4. A converted red bus was kitted out as a snack shop and loads of space in the car park. The bufferfly house was great and we loved the pond area. There is a trail to follow and it even includes dinosaurs!
We had a great family day out and enjoyed every moment.
The shows included lots of facts and you could get up close to the animals, the kids loved it.
There is a huge playground with castle to climb and a zip wire, mini tractors to ride. There really was so much to do and for every age. This is one on the best attractions I have visited in the Yorkshire area and we totally plan to go back!
