Wilton Windmill

Overview

Wilton Windmill stands high above the small village of Wilton, near Marlborough in Wiltshire, on a site that provides magnificent unspoilt views of the surrounding area.

The mill is the only working windmill in Wessex and was originally built in 1821. It was restored in 1976 and has been open to the public ever since, producing wholemeal stone ground flour milled on the premises, by hand, and available to purchase.

The mill is open for tours on Sundays and BH Mondays from 2pm until 5pm and by appointment.

The picnic area is open all year.

We also hold special events, this year there is an open day on July 5th and the Heritage Open Day on Sunday 14 September.
