York Museum Gardens
Welcome to York Museum Gardens - a place to relax and unwind in the heart of the city.
The gardens are set on an historical site which includes the remains of the Roman fortress tower, and the medieval St Mary's Abbey and the Hospitium.
They are home to more than 40 species of birds, and the botanical collection has recently been updated with a Fern garden, an American prairie, Butterfly and Astronomy borders.
Opening Times: Open daily 7am – 8pm in summer, 7am – 6pm in winter.
