Through Time: London - Reviewed by What To Do With The Kids
Written by Richard Platt, Illustrated by Manuela Cappon
Through Time: London walks through the history of London from Roman Empire to present day. Aimed at Key Stage 2/age 7+, this text book would be suitable for use in the classroom or great to supplement learning at home.
Don't expect in-depth information - this book presents key periods in history at a top level, with key dates, bite size pieces of information and facts to introduce each era on double page spreads. Pictures and descriptions set the scene and provide context.
We think this book is ideal to help kids with memorising information, for generating discussion in a group or to inspire further reading.
Through Time: London is one of the series of books launched by MacMillan Children's Books in celebration of London and the Olympics this summer.
