The Ultimate Easter Excursion for the whole family!
It was my husband’s birthday this weekend and I secretly planned a trip to Go Ape in Cannock. I really fancied a bit of excitement for all the family and this superb spot did not disappoint.
Evie and Poppy age 7 and 8 got to monkey around on Tree Top Junior course with their nanny and granddad who are both in their 60’s. At the same time my husband and I got to swing through the trees like Tarzan on the Tree Top Adventure, it was totally ace! We hand such a good time and highly recommend this adventure. The staff were fantastic and all so friendly…Alice our guide was reassuring and made sure we all knew our stuff before we got climbing.
There are 29 Go Ape adventures around the country - an experience with Go Ape is all about having fun and getting in touch with your inner Tarzan, which we all did!
Cannock Go Ape offered plenty of options for the whole family and as well as the Tree Top Junior, and the Tree Top Adventure we had a go at, they also offer Forest Segway this looked really goof fun and my kids are already planning a trip back for their 10th Birthday when they will be old enough to have a go on these!
Cannock Go Ape is just a short drive form Uttoxeter, Birmingham, Derby or Stoke on Trent. If you live in or a visiting Derbyshire or Staffordshire this holiday it is well worth a visit. We would give this day out with the kids 5 out of 5 and will be back for more climbing, zipping and swinging very soon!
We spent the whole day here the kids didn’t just get on or two goes on their course they spend well over an hour. Evie who loves a thrill was even set the challenge of going backwards arounf the course, and she did it!
On the Tree Top Adventure we spent a good 2.5 hours, then we then went on to spend the rest of the day walking around Cannock Chase. a stunning 10 mile suqaure reserve with planty for the wole family to see.
We arrived at 10am and it was 5pm when we left. Remember to take change for the parking it's around £4 for the day, but worth every penny. If it's nice weather bring a picnic, there is also a reasonably priced cafe that sells jacket potatoes and other nice food, if you with to sit in and eat.
Also don’t be too put off by rain, if you book to do the Tree Top Adventure and it's raining I'm told this makes it all the more exhilarating and muddy!
