Snowdon is a great place to take the kids and if your not sure if they can walk it then a trip on the railway might be for you.
We visited Snowdon last weekend but we had always intended to walk it.
We took the PGY path and the kids walked both up and down the mountain.
We arrived at 9am and palked in the park and ride. £5 to palk and £1.50 for adults and £1 of kids each way on the bus.
At the car park we met another family who told us they were planning on using the railway but had arrived at 8:15am and fount it fully booked untill 5:30pm. Seems the best way to ride the train them would be to book in advance.
Early bird booking is on line at:www.snowdonrailay.co.uk/pages/times-and-prices#early_bird
It costs around £10 for children and £17 for adults depending on the time of year.
We had a great time walking but can see how some might perfer the train.
We gave the train 4/5 as you really do need to book in advance.
In March and April the train only goes 3/4 of the way up, it is only in May it goes right to the top.
